It's spring. And that means departure, new discoveries, the search for one's own place in life. You can't find that if you stand on the spot. Under the headline "Mobility" pinqponq deals with your movement.
"Would you roam forever onward? See the good that lies so near. Only learn to grasp the fortune, Fortune that is always there."
Mobility has many different notions - your daily comute to work, hicking in you leisure time or traveling to far away places. For the SS20 collection we have taken inspiration from domestic tourism. Reflecting on the modern traveller’s habits we are becoming more aware of the impact global travel has on our planet. With this in mind more and more travellers are seeking holiday destinations at home. Here at pinqponq we are big believers in encouraging local tourism and we want our global citizens to be more considerate of their immediate environments and find more local get-away locations.
A childhood without youth hostels - impossible for us German kids. The German youth hostel organisation (DJH - Deutsche Jugendherberge) is an institution originally founded in Germany and is known for its straightforward architecture, practical facilities and vivid colour palettes. pinqponq has its origins in Cologne, so we see a clear synergy with the DJH.
pinqponq introduces four new colorways for SS20 - Vigor Pink, Infinite Blue, Crystal Rose and Rye Khaki - thus giving customers the choice between bright statement colors or a softer, more subtle look. pinqponq is also launching two new silhouettes with the spring/summer collection. One is the Kalm, a variation of the popular Blok backpack, and the other is the Tak, a versatile bag that can be used as a backpack or as a tote bag. Blending the German functionality with nostalgic West Coast counterculture, the new collection from pinqponq creates a new modern image that fits global relevant needs.
